Xtm contains multiple software interfaces which allow communicating with different hardware interfaces. Special software modules contain communication protocols e.g. and XCP. Customized transport protocols e.g. TP1.6 and TP2.0 can be handled by using the powerful Xtm-Script-Interpreter. The software-interfaces will be defined during the configuration phase and will not be directly illustrated during normal operation. Of course all data and signals which will be generated out of these interfaces will be displayed. All software interfaces are working independent from the graphical surface (GUI) in separated and high priorities windows-threads. Consequently the calculation power of the computer with multiple CPU-Cores can be used optimized.
