Bayhydur BL 5335 is water-dispersed blocked
aliphatic polyisocyanate resin based on
dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate (H12)
dissolved in water/MPA/xylene, 56 : 4.5 : 4.5
Application
Bayhydur BL 5335 polyisocyanate is used as the
hardener component for 1K-waterborne coatings.
Bayhydur BL 5335 is used as a crosslinking agent
for hydroxyl-functional water-borne resins, such as
Bayhydrol U XP 2239. The crosslinking reaction
occurs at 150°C for 30 minutes. The properties of
the coating based on Bayhydur BL 5335 are related
to the crosslink density that is dependent on the
polyol used. When reacted with Bayhydrol U XP
2239, coatings with very good water and chemical
resistance can be formulated. Because of excellent
adhesion to glass, systems based on Bayhydur BL
5335 polyisocyanate and Bayhydrol U XP 2239
hydroxy-functional polyurethane dispersion are
especially suitable for glass coatings. As with any
product, use of Bayhydur BL 5335 in a given
application must be tested (including but not limited
to field testing) in advance by the user to determine
suitability.

Solubility
Bayhydur BL 5335 polyisocyanate is water reducible.
Glycol ethers and alcohols are partially compatible.
Storage
Bayhydur BL 5335 polyisocyanate should be stored
between 5°C and 23°C. With appropriate storage,
this product is stable for six months after receipt ofmaterial by customer
